Job Introduction

DAC Beachcroft is look to appoint an Administrator to join its Claims Solutions Group team in Belfast.

The Claims Solutions Group advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims of all values, types and complexity. Our work has resulted in a number of outstanding successes for our clients including findings of fundamental dishonesty in civil courts, committals to prison for contempt of court, police referrals and remedies for recovery of costs. The success of the team is due to innovative legal strategies, the use of sophisticated data analysis, our people and their expertise.

This is a permanent opportunity. Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work in the office at all times.

Main Responsibilities
  • General office duties – scanning, printing and filing paper documents. Assisting with morning and afternoon post, putting together court documents. Occasional hand deliveries to court, post or local bank
  • Weekly court diary management – organising Outlook calendar and putting dates into Excel spreadsheet template
  • Operational Support within Belfast Office
  • Stationary and office supplies Stockkeeping – Office consumables and equipment, including kitchen supplies, ordering via an online portal when low
  • File Archiving – sending and retrieving files from off-site storage. Online records management system data entry
  • Accounting – basic accounting tasks, data entry, assisting legal and accounts teams with ad-hoc billing tasks
  • Miscellaneous duties including
    • Assisting Reception with room booking, catering and front of house events
    • Upkeep of templates used ie. special delivery recording sheets, cheque recording sheets, etc.
    • Printing new file labels and new instruction documents
    • Printing, recording and distribution of internal cheques
  • Facilities – assisting a Regional Facilities Manager with ad hoc property and Health and Safety related issues
The Ideal Candidate
  • IT literate
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, an advantage
  • Good telephone manner
  • Organised and able to prioritise and manage a constantly changing workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to make decisions within own areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision
  • A co-operative team player who is able to work effectively within a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work
  • Experience of using a case management preferred
  • Experience of finance systems preferred
