Optimum Vehicles is a privately owned dealership strategically positioned between York and Leeds at the Bilbrough Top Service Station on the A64, selling top marques throughout the UK for over 10 years. Our showroom is home to over £4million worth of prestige used vehicles, showcasing up to 100 prestige vehicles from the World's top marques (including Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Range Rover, Land Rover, Jaguar etc...) and including a 10 bay purpose built Service & MOT Centre
Due to outstanding continuous growth and business expansion, a fabulous opportunity has arisen and we are now looking for a Company Accountant to join our team.
Competitive salary package - dependant on experience
Key Requirements
To operate sales, purchase, vehicle and nominal ledgers for Motor Dealer.
To deal with queries on all ledgers as and when needed.
To work with other colleagues to obtain all information needed or provide guidance as requested.
To maintain ledgers to trail balance and produce monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. Compare nominals and query any anomalies.
To correlate payroll for accountant and liaise with them for suitable dates to complete on a monthly basis. To deal with information requested by accountants on time for their completion of returns. Make bank payment to staff and pay due pension contributions for companies as required.
To complete VAT return on time via DMS systems.
To complete annual accounts to be sent to accountants and dealing with them directly to answer all queries and get the information they require.
Key Attributes
Ideally AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
Ability to work in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Knowledge of Pinnacle and/or Catalyst preferred but not essential.
Previously worked with in the motor trade an advantage.
