Job description
Work Location: Willow Court, Andover
Hours per week: 24
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 18th October 2023
Choosing a career with HCC Care means joining one of our friendly, committed and supportive teams, as well as being part of the largest care provider in Hampshire. You’ll have access to a wealth of rewarding career choices, whatever your skills and experience.
We provide a range of residential care and nursing services to older people across the county, some of whom are living with dementia. As a Companion, you’ll have the opportunity to shape your own role by working with residents to find out about them and what you can do to support them individually and in groups. You’ll work to improve their wellbeing by developing meaningful relationships and providing high quality opportunities, comfort and support.
Our residents are at the heart of everything we do. If you think you could make a positive contribution and can demonstrate empathy, an understanding of their needs and a likeminded approach, we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you’re new to care or already have some experience, you’ll be well supported in this role with access to first-class induction training, on-going personal development to ensure our care practices are always up to date and exciting progression opportunities.
This role does involve some weekend and bank holidays working, for which enhancements are paid.
Full COVID-19 vaccination status is no longer required as a condition of employment but being fully vaccinated is strongly encouraged.
Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role and therefore it is essential that you already have the right to work in the UK before applying.
- Person Centred: Has a person centred and strengths-based approach that empowers service users and carers to live independent lives.
- Resilience: Successfully manages change and develops and maintains their wellbeing and resilience.
- Accountable: Takes responsibility for work, actions and development; and acknowledges individual and shared accountability.
- Works Together: Builds supportive internal and external working relationships through positive communication and constructive feedback.
