Create data visualizations that make complex diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts accessible and digestible.
Actively listen to residents, HRC Members, and staff to identify gaps in understanding, and create content that assists in closing the gaps.
Assist in developing the social media, print media, marketing, branding, and content management strategy of the Inclusion Office, with a focus on education and engagement around the HRC.
Implement the social media, print media, marketing, branding, and content management strategy of the Inclusion Office, along with implementing HRC-focused content.
Engage in proactive communications across Athens-Clarke County to build relationships, trust, and ensure that DEI and HRC-focused educational content is readily available to residents at the grassroots level of communities throughout Athens-Clarke County.
Engage in proactive communications across ACCGov to build relationships, trust, and ensure that DEI and HRC-focused educational content is readily available to staff throughout ACCGov.
Assist in planning and developing marketing and communications content for DEI and HRC-focused community education events.
Develop promotions, marketing campaigns, and communications plans that attract residents and staff into the programs, initiatives, and trainings offered by the Inclusion Office.
Create visualizations, trainings, and presentations that break down complex information to make diversity, equity, and inclusion accessible and actionable for HRC members, ACC residents, and ACCGov staff.
Collaborate across departments to support the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion across multiple sectors (business, nonprofit, private, educational, community organizing) and local government departments using concepts of human-centered design.
Actively listen to and build communication pipelines and feedback loops with communities that have historically been left behind by emphasizing culturally competent outreach.
Collaborate internally and externally to expand representation, access to information, and create opportunities for open dialogue across differences.
Proactively help to build relationship networks that improve access to opportunity across communities through consistently delivered educational and informational content.
Manage the content calendar of the Inclusion Office.
Create and host collaborative events that raise focused awareness around diversity, equity, inclusion, and the HRC, across multiple areas of public policy.
Create accessible educational content that supports resident participation in the HRC and the discrimination complaint processes.
Create accessible educational content that supports the Human Relations Commission.
Create accessible educational content that helps residents understand the scope of the Inclusion Office.
Develop and help visualize interactive, accurate and engaging reports.
Creating marketing materials that provide forums for genuine community input that includes voices that are often forgotten or missed in the development of the Inclusion Office.
Facilitate dialogue, and develop accessible and representative tools that supports workgroup participants in creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Athens-Clarke County.
Engage in grassroots community outreach to recruit workgroup participants.
Engage in proactive outreach across ACCGov to build relationships, trust, and implement DEI trainings and processes.
Identifying, analyzing, developing, and recommending focused improvements to existing systems in order to increase diverse, inclusive, and equitable access and outcomes for both residents and staff.
Engage in proactive outreach across ACCGov to build relationships, trust, and provide DEI education and engagement across age groups, perspectives, and life experiences.
Engaging in strategic internal and external collaborations that help Athens-Clarke County acknowledge past pain, expand access to social capital, and create an Athens-Clarke County where every human being knows their voice and experiences are valued.
Assist with developing systems for strategic data reporting, data visualization, storytelling, transparency, accountability, and consistent communication, especially as it relates to the HRC.
Contribute to the development of reports, social media content, educational materials, resources, tools, and strategic plans.
Innovate and collaborate as needed to make diversity, equity, and inclusion actionable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including computers, fax machines, calculators, and other office equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.

MANUAL DEXTERITY: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as computers, calculators, fax machines, and other office equipment. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
COLOR DISCRIMINATION: Requires the ability to differentiate between colors and shades of color.
INTERPERSONAL TEMPERAMENT: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under moderate stress when confronted with an emergency.
