Job description

Are you passionate about seafood sustainability and driving positive impact for our ocean resources?

Are you a great communicator that enjoys maintaining and cultivating relationships with key industry stakeholders?

If so, this Fisheries Outreach Manager role could be the opportunity for you!

As a dynamic and influential team member, you will play a pivotal role in developing relationships with stakeholders to promote sustainable fishing practices and safeguard seafood for the future. This role contributes to MSC’s US fisheries strategy with a focus on outreach and education to existing fishery partners, while working to expand the reach of the MSC program (namely in the US South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico).

The Fishery Outreach Manager will develop and deliver value to partners in a consistent and coordinated fashion, with enhanced and timely MSC-related communications and education to all fisheries, client representatives, and member companies.

Key attributes for this role include:

  • Experience working in capture fisheries management, research, policy, regulatory management, and/or operations.
  • Understanding of resource sustainability issues, specifically the fisheries and seafood industry in the eastern USA.
  • Existing familiarity with the MSC Fishery Standard and Chain of Custody Standard is an advantage.
  • A partner-focused approach that is results-oriented and built on a foundation of relationship development.
  • Ability to support and foster a collaborative team environment where ideas, strategies, projects, and asks-for-help can be shared openly among the team

If you are ready for a new challenge and this has inspired you, please apply here!

We look forward to hearing from you!
