Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a community manager to work across our gaming clients. We are looking for someone who knows social media platforms inside out - and also knows what’s coming next in these areas. The successful candidate would work with our graphic designers, account managers and social media managers to develop and execute an online video distribution and digital community growth plan.


Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for managing communities pre, during and post eSport events/ tournaments
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with eSports networks inclusive of publishers and key esports talents
  • Work with the wider team to build and deliver growth in participation numbers
  • Maintain a high degree of expertise within the esports market, sharing knowledge & experience across the wider group business, to enhance our premium esports brands worldwide
  • Planning social content and maintaining the content calendar ensuring social media content is regular, relevant and engaging
  • Monitoring the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall marketing strategy
  • Ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally
  • Engaging with fans and followers to build relationships with the community and encourage engagement
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists
  • Contribute to creative ideas for video content as part of output strategy

Key skills and knowledge:

  • Excellent understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Discord and Twitch
  • Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques
  • Strong copywriting skills including excellent spelling and grammar, as well as writing techniques to capture particular audiences
  • Experience of social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
  • Knowledge of relevant sporting audiences
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in a client-facing role
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels

General:

  • Work flexible days, according to the appropriate sports-related calendar
  • Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales
  • Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of Esports and competitive gaming competitions
  • Salary dependent on experience
