Cornwall Council
Full Time Cornwall 34581 - 28047 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

About the Role

Are you a Registered Nurse wanting to work in Cornwall in the community with children and families? Are you interested in Public Health prevention and early intervention? Would you like to get experience so that you could apply for Health Visiting or School Nursing training in the future? Then this could be the job for you! We are looking to recruit Community Nurses to join our experienced teams in leading and delivering the Healthy Child programme in school nursing to the children and families within Cornwall.

We provide evidence based, family centred, public health service, which focuses on identifying health needs and vulnerability within the family and community. This is a great opportunity to join us in developing a fully integrated service with our other children’s Council colleagues in Together for Families to meet the needs of the local communities and to ensure there are improved outcomes for all our children and young people.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified, our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.

We are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed hours. More examples of our flexible working opportunities can be found here - flexible working options.

We currently have full and part time vacancies available in our School Nurse teams across Cornwall. For more information on these vacancies please contact Sarah Hyde - [email protected]

About you

You should be an experienced Registered Nurse with experience of working with children and families. You will be working in community settings within School Nursing Teams and will hold a delegated caseload, therefore time management and prioritisation skills are essential. You should be able to work alone and in a team with an ability to maintain electronic records.
