Summary
Rural Resources Community Action needs a Community Health Worker – Newport, WA (Bilingual Preferred). As a Community Health Worker, you will respond to clients in need of services and delivery of goods and work closely with the Program Manager to ensure project success and effective communication among all necessary program components, while maintaining a timely and accurate record of responsibilities and completed tasks. Including providing assistance with understanding how to use, operate and securely access personal information using digital devices. and providing the aid needed to help qualified clients stay within their homes throughout a COVID-19 quarantine period.
Salary & Benefit information
The full salary range of $21.65-$36.06 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $21.65-$25.33 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase. As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA. Duties & Responsibilities
A Community Health Worker will need knowledge of federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations applicable to the area of assignment, computerized and manual recordkeeping systems, crisis intervention and counseling principles and practices, and knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health issues. The qualities we are looking for include the ability to treat sensitive information and material with the appropriate level of confidentiality, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, organize and prioritize work independently with a minimum of supervision and comprehend complex documents and concepts.
Education, Skills, and Abilities
To apply for this position, you would need a High School Diploma or GED along with an acceptable completion of a criminal history background check and of the Community Health Worker’s Certification program within 180 days of employment.
