We are looking for a supporter-centred person to join our wonderful Community Fundraising team as an Assistant to help us give our supporters the best possible experience on our existing and new activities planned to the end of 2023.

The amazing work that we do would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters. Community Fundraising team maintains relationships with all individuals and groups who support Dogs Trust through a challenge & sports events and fundraising in their community.

Our community fundraisers are heroes who train like Olympians and undertake some of the toughest challenges in the world, they bake like Mary Berry, stand in the cold and rain shaking buckets, and share their most important moments in life – Birthdays, weddings, and even funerals all to raise funds to help us do what we do. They can be 9 months old or 99 years old and support us in such a variety of wonderful ways.

In this varied and interesting role, you will assist the team in all aspects of stewardship and development of relationships with our supporters, particularly at the Great North Run supporting our 100 runners who are taking part in September. And you’ll play a major part in our 3 virtual challenges planned this year – our 99k for Canine walk challenge, our in-memory walk challenge, and the Christmas virtual advent ‘fitmas’ challenge. This will involve maintaining the team inboxes and social media groups, and working closely with different internal teams at the charity to make sure we can deliver great supporter service.

With experience or knowledge in fundraising, supporter services, or customer service role you will be a skilled communicator and have an ability to prioritise and manage several different projects at one time.
