Community Engagement Officer
Location: Hybrid or Remote. Home/30 Moorgate, London EC2R 6DN
Hours: 25 to 40 hours a week - flexible for the right candidate

We use communications and marketing to amplify our brand purpose; engage and grow our community by telling our story in a planned, and audience-driven way and deliver life-changing opportunities through our partners for the diverse communities we serve.
Joining us as the Community Engagement Officer you’ll be taking responsibility for growing and nurturing our community of Council Members. Working closely with our CEO, COO and service delivery colleagues, you will own and oversee our community engagement activities. Generating timely relevant regular interactions so they feel valued, supported and informed of the impact that they and we are making.
You will ensure our brand and our mission run through everything we do, and that KPIs are delivered. This is a new role and presents a significant opportunity for a mission-led and ambitious candidate.
To be successful in this role, candidates will have experience in developing, and delivering communications activity, and have an understanding of lead generation, nurturing and engaging people to support our mission.
With excellent written communication skills and the ability to confidently present ideas and build rapport, they will have hands-on experience in using digital marketing tools and the commitment to engage, empower and connect our diverse community in a mission-driven and resource-limited organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop, implement and evaluate a range of engagement communication campaigns at The Intrapreneurs Club.
- Build a brand identity and develop content to promote the programmes in conjunction with the team, seeking out innovative ways to reach our target audience both online and offline and develop messages informed through audience insight and testing.
- Plan the promotion of the programmes and lead content and communication development across our digital community network.
- Act as the internal communications champion for the programmes, looking for opportunities for promotion, knowledge sharing and embedding the programmes across our community and succeed in increasing participation in our programmes and creating growth opportunities through our partners, funders and our community.
- Contribute to the multi-platform transformation of The Intrapreneurs Club’s communications and ensure funded programmes reach their communications goals.
- Ensure your work aligns with The Intrapreneurs Club/s strategic goals and programme plans, working collaboratively with the senior managers for all reporting outcomes.
- Ensure the views of underrepresented people guide your work and actively seek opportunities to involve our community in content and product development associated with programmes and all its communication channels.
- Provide flexibility and undertake other duties that may from time to time be necessary, and that are compatible with the nature and grade of this post

Person Specification
Essential criteria
- Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating integrated communication activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the proven ability to write and produce engaging communications for a range of channels and audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate with a wide range of people at all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to work proactively using own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines, with well-developed time management skills.
- Experience of evaluating communications activity.
- Excellent aptitude and skills using Google Suite, Microsoft, shared online drives, web content management systems and email marketing software
