Job description

Applications are invited for a Community Engagement Officer within the Strategy and Marketing (Open Studio) department but working across GSA when required. .


Working internally across GSA and externally across the local community including residents, Community Councils, other formal community groups, third sector partners, businesses, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Life and its arm’s length bodies as appropriate, this post will:


  • Deliver the external community element of the GSA Engagement Plan specifically to:

o Enhance our relationships with our immediate neighbours

o Maintain and enhance the GSA as a ‘good’ neighbour and an active part of and positive contributor to the Garnethill/Sauchiehall/Blythswood community

o Minimise the impact of the next phase of our recovery operations on our local community and effectively communicate the works and any local impacts

o Engage the local community in our plans for the rebuilding of the Mackintosh including any proposals for a wider regeneration of Garnethill/Sauchiehall/Blythswood

o Give back to our communities in diverse and appropriate ways
