This role will support an element of home-based working, but you need to be able and willing to come to Brixton and the borough of Lambeth when required and potentially on a weekly basis.

About the role
We are keen on engaging our communities and those who use our services to develop and improve services for all. We are recruiting an Adult Social Care Community Engagement Coordinator to support engagement with residents, those using adult social care services and their carers/family.
The post is located with our team working on service improvements but will work across the Adult Social Care department.
Key duties include:
- Coordinate and deliver community engagement and involvement activities for Adult Social Care, embedding principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with colleagues across Adult Social Care, the council, borough and beyond, to develop partnerships, networks, share knowledge and work collaboratively on projects.
- Advise Adult Social Care colleagues on engagement and involvement activities.
- Act as a first point of contact for resident and community organisations.
- Establish and develop diverse forms of communication and dissemination. Support the development of governance, policy, guidelines and procedures for community engagement and contribute to our preparations for external inspection.
