Our Service

Inkwell Arts is the creative wellbeing service for Leeds Mind. Inkwell provides a varied outreach offer across all areas of Leeds, delivering art, craft, cooking and gardening workshops, supporting individuals with mental health issues and improving overall wellbeing.

The Role

Community Arts Workers (bank) will provide cover for community workshops when the team experiences unexpected illness, periods of annual leave or schedule clashes. Bank staff will deliver arts, crafts, gardening and food courses and sessions to Inkwell service users. Activities will be aimed at improving service users’ wellbeing and mental health and will be delivered in the wider Leeds community.

​Workshops take place between 9-5pm, Monday-Friday, with very occasional evening work.

Essential Skills and Experience:

· GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above

· Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

· A good understanding of mental health and wellbeing

· A passion for all things creative, with the desire to learn new skills and develop a bank of creative knowledge.

· Excellent organisational skills

· Resilient and confident, with excellent communication skills

· Good level of written and spoken English

· Ability to perform manual tasks, for example, setting up tables and chairs, carrying boxes etc.

· Health and safety training as applies to manual handling.

Hours – Bank/ ad-hoc

Scale - NJC Scale 5 points 12 to 17

Salary - £12.73 - £13.95 per hour

Contract – Variable Hours
