This role is paid at £21,500-£25,000 a year depending on experience (pro-rata if part time).

Job Description
Alley Cat Games is continuing to grow and expand, publishing more quality games each year. The Community and Operations manager will join a small team, passionate for making truly great games.

On a day to day basis, the Community and Operations Manager will be responsible for distributor relations, community engagement (including convention management), logistics and other operational activities.

This is a full-time role of 5 days a week

The ideal candidate will be passionate about board games, organised, have the ability to act on their own initiative, and have at least 6 months experience in a similar role.

This role will be remotely based but the ideal candidate would occasionally be able to travel to Letchworth Garden City for meetings (rarely).

The role is broken down into customer service/community engagement at 60%, distributor relations 10% and logistics and operations 30% of the role.

Role responsibilities
● Engaging with distributors to ensure release dates are informed of and stock is sent when required as soon as it is requested
● Liaising/meeting with each distributor via video call on a monthly basis at the minimum
● Monitoring stock of games at various warehouses on a fortnightly basis
● Engaging with customers through email, Kickstarter and other means such as Social Media to respond to queries, complaints, and spread the news of what’s going on at Alley Cat Games.
● Promoting Alley Cat Games through the website Newsletter
● Managing media assets folder for reviewers, retailers, and distributors.
● Organising our convention presence, including event booking, ordering services, and arranging shipments of stock.
● Managing our current sales avenues and establishing and managing new ones.
● Keeping our website up to date with our latest games and other news.
● Keeping up with royalty reporting
● Invoicing and keeping track of this
● Organising shipping and fulfilment for Kickstarters and ongoing projects and communicating with shipping and fulfilment partners to ensure we are delivering our games consistently.
● Perform general administrative duties as required

● In-Depth knowledge of the gaming community and market
● Experience in maintaining a website/blog
● Online, Social Media, and print marketing and/or advertising experience
● Volunteer management experience
● Volunteer recruitment experience
● Understanding of the Toy market
● Understanding of the licencing market and process
● Experience of working with Shipping / Freight organisations
● Playtesting/design/development/publishing experience
● Knowledge or experience of influencing customer purchasing decisions
● Experience of working remotely
