An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and committed individual to join Bolsover District Council’s Physical Activity and Sports Development Team.
This is a key and fulfilling role where the successful individual will be required to engage with community groups, organisations and other key partners to develop, deliver and promote initiatives to encourage people to lead healthier and active lives across all areas of the District

The Physical Activity and Sports Development Team sit within Leisure Services and contribute to the District Councils priorities including improving health and wellbeing and increasing participation in sport and leisure activities.
In this role you will assist in the coordination and delivery of a number of varied and progressive sport and physical activity programmes for all sections of the community and engage local communities to become more physically active by working closely with local people and partners, utilising community assets and providing opportunities inked to healthy lifestyles.
To be successful you will need:
- A sport, leadership or community development qualification or equivalent industry based experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Have experience of working in a community setting
- Have experience of working in and engaging with a wide range of organisations, such as schools, clubs and community groups.
- Experience of delivering and organising sport/physical activity sessions
The post is based at the Arc, Clowne but will involve work at venues across the District.
Hours of work will mainly be day time working but may include evenings, weekends and during holiday periods as required.
Please note this post requires the successful candidate to undertake a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
