We currently employ a team of 140+ employees, working from our London office or remotely, as well as a growing number of flexible remote workers in our interviewing services team.
We’re looking to recruit a Communications Officer to work part time on a fixed term contract, provisionally from early May 2023 to mid February 2024 as part of our marketing team.
About the role
As the Communications Officer, you’d be responsible for implementing, and managing the company's communication strategies internally and externally. This will include creating content for a variety of mediums, including press releases, social media, websites, and newsletters, and ensuring that all messaging is consistent and aligns with the company's brand and values. You’ll work closely with a wide range of people, including the wider Marketing team (Head of Marketing & Communications, Marketing Assistant), People team and Research team.
Responsibilities
External comms
· Write, edit, and distribute content for a variety of mediums, including press releases, website copy, social media posts and newsletters.
· Develop social media campaigns that align with the company's goals and values.
· Support the Head of Marketing & Communications with media inquiries, coordinating interviews and quotes.
· Work closely with other departments, such as Research and People, to ensure that all messaging is consistent and aligns with the company's brand and values.
· Ensure that all communication materials are accurate, compliant, and free from errors.
· Support the Head of Marketing & Communications to manage the company's website, ensuring that content is up-to-date and relevant.
· Monitor and analyse communication metrics, such as website traffic and social media engagement, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Internal comms
· Lead on the production and content creation of the monthly team newsletter, supported by the marketing assistant
· Provide support to IFF committees on internal comms, including content creation
· Support the leadership team with the production of presentation materials and slide decks
About you
This isn’t an entry level role. You should have experience in a comms role already and will be able to demonstrate a track record of implementing successful communication strategies.
You should have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create content for a variety of mediums, with a sharp attention to detail to ensure all communication materials are accurate, compliant, and free from errors.
We’re looking for someone who’s great with people, has excellent communication skills and is able to build relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with other departments.
You should have experience with social media management and digital communications, knowledge and experience of proactive and reactive media relations and analytical skills with the ability to monitor and analyse communication metrics. It would also be helpful if you had experience of website management and content creation.
