It’s not just romantics who crave meaningful engagement; a good Communications Officer does too.
We’re seeking a well organised and creative comms professional to inform and engage employees, celebrate success and provide guidance to internal stakeholders here at Housing 21. As an Investors in People (IIP) Platinum organisation, we’re already in the top two percent of organisations assessed, but we’re not stopping there; we know there’s always more we can do to get even better. If you’re a great copywriter with a keen eye for detail, our Communications Officer role could be a perfect fit.
You’ll support the Internal Communications Manager and work closely with the wider Marketing and Communications Team to develop great content, roll out internal campaigns, and help us develop our employer brand internally and externally, including on social media and our website. This will also include identifying opportunities for awards and supporting the production of the annual events calendar to maximise opportunities for cross promotion.
Proactively building relationships with key internal stakeholders, you will provide expertise and support to ensure their messages reach their target audience, utilising channels in the most efficient and effective way, and providing detailed analysis and regular reporting to monitor effectiveness. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring internal and external messaging aligns, maintaining the correct tone of voice and focusing on accessibility.
You’ll be comfortable liaising with external agencies and suppliers as well as internal colleagues at all levels and will be a natural multi-tasker with a positive can do attitude. Excellent communication skills are key, along with the ability to use your own initiative and problem solving skills.
