We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join our team on a permanent basis!

This role will be an integral part of our Communication department. Reporting to the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, you will support with the delivery of Eastlight’s business strategies and culture, connecting our people and residents to our purpose and mission, by driving engaging internal and external communications.

You will work closely with different business areas across the organisation to provide targeted internal and external campaigns and communications activity, evaluating reach and results, and ensuring effective delivery on key objectives.

An ideal candidate should have the proven experience of producing engaging copy and publishing across various channels, as well as coordinating and delivering occasional engagement events for colleagues and residents.

The Communications Officer must:

  • Manage and maintain good relations with local media and trade press
  • Create engaging campaigns and content across a variety of channels, including social media, which are targeted towards select audiences
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on managing sensitive internal communications and business transformation
  • Coordinate internal events and initiatives
  • Support the design of communication materials to ensure briefs around internal campaigns are clear, engaging and delivered on time
  • Manage the production and distribution of Eastlight’s weekly ‘News Flash’ and other internal publications
  • Play a key role in the effective and timely communication of corporate messages through frequent written and verbal briefings and events
  • Work in partnership with senior managers, negotiating agreement on internal messaging in a complex organisational and political environment.
