About the team
We're looking for a communications professional to join our Global Trust and Safety Communications team. In this role, you'll play a leading role in helping to tell the story of how we continue to create a safe experience for our community, with a particular focus on youth safety and well-being.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a proven track record of writing to a high standard and should thrive when collaborating with colleagues based around the world
- Work well under pressure, be self-motivated, and able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations with empathy and a people-first mindset
- Be naturally passionate about the technology and entertainment sector. You're a strategic thinker as well as a practical doer, comfortable with rolling up your sleeves to get things done
- Create blog posts, media pitches, and launch materials to amplify global announcements and initiatives, working closely with regional teams to adapt these announcements to their local markets
- Draft materials that help empower our global communications colleagues, such as fact sheets and executive bios
- Develop sector intelligence and monitoring to ensure broader brand and business performance goals are being met
- Work collaboratively with Product, Trust and Safety, Legal, Public Policy, and other teams, providing communications counsel and support, ensuring message accuracy and consistency
- Train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press conferences, and presentations
- Travel as needed to support the team and be willing to work flexible hours when needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience. Ideally, you will have experience working for an agency and in-house at a global company.
- An adaptable, proactive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented working style and approach is essential. You don't just 'get the job done', you take initiative and think about how you can add more value to go beyond the brief
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organisational, project management, and analytical skills
- A highly analytical mindset, with qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly and flexibly to change
- Press office or crisis communications experience
- Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
