The oncology department (Le Quesne unit) at Jersey General Hospital provides, outpatient care, treatment, and supportive therapies for those with a cancer diagnosis.
The team comprises of
- 2 consultant Haematologist
Le Quesne unit currently provides treatment for approximately 500 patients and has activity levels of 550-650 episodes of care per month. There is in addition a busy outpatient area supporting between 8-10 clinics per week. Due to career progression of one of our Oncology CNS we are looking to recruit a new team member.
The Oncology nurse specialists are an integral part of the MDT. As part of the team, you will support patients throughout their treatment. The CNS provide a nurse led pre SACT clinic, survivorship clinic, bone marrow clinic, 24-hour Acute oncology triage service. There is also potential to continue a very successful Nurse led PICC line insertion service.
