About the Trust
Manchester Royal Infirmary is located on Oxford Road, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking (Fees will apply) in the multi storey car parks on Grafton Street and Hathersage Road. There is a café where drinks and light snacks are available.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Create and implement internal and external communication and engagement campaigns and plans in line with the Trust’s annual priorities, to improve engagement with staff and volunteers, and promote the Trust and the work of its staff to patients and the wider public to enhance the reputation of the Trust.
· Contribute to developing the communications and engagement strategy and lead on developing communications plans using a range of communication channels in support of short- and long-term projects.
· Ensure that the projects and programmes maintain business focus and project deliverables are actively managed, including risks, in alignment with the achievement of the Trust’s strategic objectives.
· Represent the Group Executive Director of Workforce & Corporate Business in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent research, writing and presentation skills.
· Good communication skills in dealing with professional staff.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Previous experience leading a communications team.
· Previous NHS experience.
· Previous media experience. (Desirable)
