Job description
Communications Manager
Nothing beats the energy and excitement of a great live experience! That’s why our mission is to bring the very best in live entertainment to the largest possible number of people.
The Ambassador Theatre Group is an extraordinary success story in the live entertainment industry. Founded in 1992 in the UK, we’ve grown into the world’s number one live-theatre company today. We cover every discipline in the theatre industry, from operating venues to ticketing platforms and producing shows. We are passionate about great shows and our ambition is to help them find the largest possible audiences.
ATG’s theatres and cinema complex in Woking, comprises the New Victoria Theatre, Rhoda McGaw Studio Theatre, and the 7-screen Nova Cinema. This is an exciting time to be joining the complex, with the Nova having recently relaunched following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, making it one of the most state-of-the-art cinemas in the country. The 1,300 seat main house hosts a mixed programme of musicals, drama, comedy and children’s shows, whilst the Rhoda McGaw occupies an important place in the community, providing a platform for a mix of semi-professional and professional content, alongside school and community groups.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the venue's Marketing Team as our Communications Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications and working closely with the venue team, the Communications Manager plays a critical role in driving the increasing effectiveness of ATG’s Communications and is pivotal to our long-term growth strategy.
The role in summary
- Raise the media profile of the venue and its shows by creating creative campaigns, partnerships, content, stunts or other events that get widely noticed and talked about, and drive ticket sales.
- Nurture and manage a strong network of relationships with the media, local organisations and influencers in order to create earned reach.
- Bridge the gap between operational aspects of the team and the strategic aims of venue leadership.
- Enhance the venue’s reputation through both internal and external communications.
- Grow the reach and engagement of the venue’s social and editorial channels.
