Concerts and Communications Coordinator

Supports all of the activities, scheduling, operations, financial management, marketing, and programming of a University performing arts center.
The Concerts and Communications Coordinator oversees the logistics, marketing, and ticket sales for all Department of Music performances, lectures, and non-classroom educational events. Coordinates directly with Music faculty and directors of related ensembles. Manages concert and event scheduling in Bellefield Auditorium and other performance spaces and departmental facilities. Develops marketing and publicity strategies and materials for performances and performance series. Directs and hires technicians, audio engineers, and other technical support vendors and staff. Oversees student workers and volunteers to provide customer and Front-of-House services at events. Coordinates general departmental communications and oversees web and social media functions. Evening and weekend availability is essential particularly during the mid-point and final weeks of fall and spring semesters. The Concerts and Communications Coordinator should possess a keen interest in and knowledge of music and related technologies, some background in visual design for both print and web, and knowledge of basic box office and ticketing functions. Prior experience as a manager or member of a music or other performing arts ensemble, or experience as a Front-of-House or performance venue manager, is highly desirable.

Essential Functions Must have excellent communication and math skills. Be able to prepare reports accurately and file.
