Role Summary
You will be responsible for planning and delivering all marketing activity for our ambitious and innovative projects that support the scaling up of refillable and reusable products and services in the retail and food-to-go sectors. The position will report to the Head of Development youll work closely and collaboratively together, with support from the City to Sea marcomms and development teams.
Working with agencies, freelancers, and most importantly partners of City to Sea, you will also be responsible for marketing and PR activity for our development projects and ensuring all resources, materials and communications are delivered to a high standard, on-budget and within the agreed timeframe.
Roles and responsibilities
- Leading a robust marketing strategy and activity plan supporting special projects with support from the marcomms team. Including audience segmentation, insights and touchpoints for the different audiences and evaluation.
- Support the Project Team(s) with reporting and interpreting research findings, using these to inform the structure, planning, design and implementation of the campaigns.
- Developing our messaging framework, branding and guidelines to support all activity. These will be used to determine the branding applied across campaigns, including tone of voice and brand guidelines applied to all creative assets.
- Full through-the-line marcomms campaigns including instore, POS, digital, B2B sales materials, print, production, promotions, events, stunts, video, social, out of home
- Work with the Project Teams to develop and deliver activity plans
- Manage the schedule and resource plan to ensure all activity is delivered within budget and on time.
- Manage external agencies, designers and freelancers
- Manage and oversee the behaviour change communication campaigns managing consultants, brand guidelines, message hierarchy, asset creation, copywriting, design, printing, ad creative, digital and point of sale toolkits
- Manage and oversee the branding, logo design and marketing materials
- Manage and oversee the website delivery for development projects
- Plan and deliver a media campaign in collaboration with the Media & Policy Manager
- Supporting the Development Team to build sustainable income streams for City to Sea through new opportunities such as consultancy or memberships.
About You
- You have a passion for the planet and are motivated to help reduce plastic waste through City to Seas products, services, and campaigns.
- Youll have at least 5 years experience working in a similar role, ideally as a marketing manager and/or integrated FMCG account manager with experience working both agency or client side, B2B and B2C.
- FMCG, Food-to-Go and/or Environmental sector experience
- Experience creating and delivering a multi-channel marketing strategy
- Strong project management skills and organisational skills. This is a complex and multi-faceted role and youll need to juggle multiple plates.
- Experience managing multiple agencies and external stakeholders
- Experience creating a communications strategy
- Experience developing messaging and creating content
- Experience working with website development projects
- Confident delivering presentations and building great relationships with clients and stakeholder
- You can work from the City to Sea office in Bristol, with some scope for 1-day flexible home working.
