Overview:
The Communications Specialist will be responsible for coordinating effective communications campaigns for internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will play an integral role in executing campaigns to engage the company’s employees to support strategic initiatives, increase participation in programs and improve overall satisfaction. The candidate will also support strategic external communications to support M&A efforts, employer branding and recruiting, and corporate social responsibility. This position will report to the Director of Employee Communications and work collaboratively with leadership across the enterprise to ensure consistent delivery of key messages.
About Center of Excellence:
Centers of Excellence (COE) are teams whose primary goal is to provide expertise in a specific field. COEs will usually provide support through training, research, and skilled leaders. In the case of HealthEdge, our Centers of Excellence incorporate the Human Resources, IT, Legal and Financial fields, all of which provide support to our Product divisions and allows the enterprise to move forward and achieve its goals.
What you will do:
- Assists in the execution of internal and external communications campaigns.
- Assists with coordinating enterprise-wide internal events including town halls, trainings, employee engagement activities and others as assigned.
- Helps maintain communications calendar, Weekly Update, Teams communications, and departmental announcements across the organization.
- Assists with our company intranet, from writing articles to sharing polls and providing site administration.
- Measures our communication effectiveness through polls and collects feedback for continuous improvement.
- Supports social responsibility and corporate philanthropy efforts. Coordinates with internal and external participants, promotes participation and manages logistics of programs and events.
- Works closely with Talent Acquisition team in executing a strategy to promote recruiting efforts and attract qualified candidates. Supports promotion including but not limited to social media, job fairs, employee testimonials, recruiting materials, and more.
- Assists with DEI efforts. Sits on iBelong planning committee and helps promote and support events to grow diversity across the organization.
- Coordinates participation in awards programs and initiatives that support the company’s initiative to be a best place to work.
- Promotes company culture via Instagram and Facebook posts and stories, along with other social media channels as assigned.
- Other activities and efforts as assigned and as identified.
What you bring:
- 5-6 years relevant experience in communications, marketing, or public relations
- Strong project management skills; strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter, with strong detail-orientation within strict time constraints
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong social media skills highly preferred
- Ability to function independently in a matrix reporting environment
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required
