Job Summary: The Corporate Communications Specialist will support internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and mission.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
- Supports corporate communication strategy.
- Designs visual communication content.
- Supports external and internal communications.
- Promotes a positive public image by exercising strong graphic design and project management skills.
- Fosters relationships with key personnel and collaborates with Corporate Citizenship team, HR and marketing professionals to produce communications.
- Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including special events, community service, and other topics of interest.
- Collaborates with the Corporate Citizenship Team and other departments to support company needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a communications, public relations, journalism or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective time management skills.
- Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
Essential Mental Functions:
- The candidate must also exhibit good decision-making, analytical problem solving, and excellent organizational abilities. Additionally the candidate must able to communicate effectively, in written and spoken form, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills with all levels of personnel. Must work well in a team environment.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Sitting for prolonged periods
- Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
Equipment or Software Knowledge or Skills:
- Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
