The role
To help us enhance awareness of our activities and success stories, we’re currently looking for a Communications Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Communications team and working across digital and print communications and will be responsible for a wide range of digital marketing.
The Communications team works across many different audiences from prospective applicants and alumni, through to the media and other interested stakeholders. This means the role is varied and will engage with both social media and traditional print media. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a unique blend of interpersonal and written communication skills, and in return will gain first-hand knowledge and experience working as an in-house communications professional for a highly regarded educational charity.
The role will be responsible for;
- Work with the Communications team on all communications activities of the Rhodes Trust by expressing the purpose and vision of the Rhodes Scholarships and the Trust’s partnerships clearly, professionally and innovatively.
- Promote the Rhodes Trust values of leadership excellence, global progress, lifelong fellowship, Rhodes community and philanthropic giving in print and digital communications.
- Assist the Communications Manager and Communications Associate in understanding our online audiences, developing digital communications strategy, and creating engaging content for the Rhodes Trust key channels: social media (organic and paid), email and website.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, possessing a mix of writing and people skills, and will gain first-hand knowledge and experience working as an in-house communications professional for a highly regarded educational charity.
