The Vacancy:
Liberata is pleased to announce that we have an incredible opportunity following the creation of an exciting new role for an outstanding candidate to join Liberata’s established Human Resources Team as a Communications and Engagement Manager. At an exciting time for the business, this new role within the organisation requires us to seek an individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to produce high quality, engaging and creative written copy.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, the successful candidate will work with various stakeholders and take a stategic approach to employee engagement and communications, helping Liberata to share and develop its corporate objectives with the workforce using a range of innovate tools and techniques. This position will play a vital role in engaging Liberata people and clients by designing, implementing and delivering a dynamic communications and engagement plan in line with Liberata’s overall HR strategy, policies and best practice.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic role whereby the successful candidate will work to significantly enhance the way Liberata presents itself to our people, as well as communicating effectively with a diverse range of both internal and, where appropriate, external stakeholders; delivering a mix of best practice communication and engagement activities that will positively inform, inspire, involve and influence. We are seeking an exceptional, driven individual who can apply both creative and strategic thinking to assure Liberata’s aim of being an ‘employer of choice’. Whilst the post holder may be predominantly home based, they will be expected to travel within the UK when required to do so.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Work proactively to design and implement a Liberata communications and engagement strategy, in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development and senior members of the Corporate HR, H&S and Marketing Teams to support the delivery of key business objectives, whilst monitoring and evaluating as appropriate.
- To ensure the development and delivery of effective engagement tools are optimised, maintained and evaluated to ensure effectiveness.
- To coordinate, write and deliver a suite of engaging and informative communications utilising a range of channels and techniques to connect the intended audience.
- To be responsible for maintaining Liberata’s ‘voice’, employer brand and values across all internal communications and external channels such as LinkedIn or areas of the company website.
- Keep up to date with knowledge of contemporary communication and engagement theory/ methods to assist with Liberata’s aim of being an ‘employer of choice’.
- To lead and participate on specific projects as directed by Liberata’s Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development.
- Development of the company intranet site and any recommendations for improvement.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience, (with relevant professional qualification).
- Experience of working closely with HR, Marketing and senior colleagues demonstrating strong experience of building networks and relationships to deliver results.
- Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail with exceptional proofreading skills.
- Strong numeracy skills with experience of analysing and reporting on complex data.
- Good IT skills including use of social media, content management, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, image and pdf editing.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload effectively but also to be flexible and adapt/ respond to emerging issues, short deadlines and other demands or challenges.
- Excellent research and Project Management skills.
