The opportunity
The internal Communications and Engagement (CE) team plays a critical role across the business. We inform, engage and inspire our people around EY’s purpose, values and strategy, and help to create an exceptional experience for our people through content creation, channel evolution and strategic counsel, as well as ensuring EY people have access to the information, they need to fulfil their roles.
Our CE Transformation goal is to be more agile, audience-centric and data driven, working together as one CE team across the Executive, functions, geographic Areas and Regions. As part of our CE Transformation program, we are continuing to evolve our global internal communications strategy, with a particular focus on how our content and platforms evolve to deliver more impactful, targeted internal communications.
This is a particularly exciting opportunity to help shape our approach with potential changes to the organization. This role will be pivotal in defining the solutions that will be required during this time, and beyond, with a focus on AssureCo channels and global content strategy.
Reporting to the Global Channels Leader, you will work closely with our Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) Product Management team, Measurement and Reporting team.
Your key responsibilities
Support the BMC Everest Internal Channels workstream, helping to define the platform and content solutions that will be required during this time, and beyond, with a focus on AssureCo channels and global content strategy.- Support the development of EY’s digital strategy for internal communications. You will set the direction for how we can increase the reach and engagement with our channels by taking an audience-centric approach, leveraging the data and insights available, as well as external best practice.
- Driving the content framework to ensure EY people are receiving engaging content that is relevant to them no matter where in the organization they work.
- Ensure that our CE teams are effectively leveraging existing channels. Supporting the training, guidance and share best practice on the strategic application of our core channels. These channels include our intranet, daily news email, broadcast email, internal social media (Yammer), video/audio platform (Stream), collaboration and crowdsourcing platforms, such as Teams, as well as virtual event platforms.
- Help drive behavioural change with our CE teams and senior stakeholders to create a better balance between push and pull communications and more interactive, two-way communication, e.g., Yammer.
- Continue to improve our approach to measurement and reporting. Working with the relevant teams to monitor levels of reach and engagement with our channels and use insights to drive improvements through functionality or CE application.
- Create virtual teams and networks across EY to gather insights, crowdsource new ideas and thinking from both within BMC and the business.
Skills and experience
Exceptional knowledge of digital/technology platforms used within communication functions- Content
- Experience of channel implementation in a large, matrixed organization and the ability to demonstrate measurable results
- Experience in developing content plans and strategies for a global audience
- Knowledge of working in a professional services organisation is desirable
- Experience with using Unily or a similar intranet CMS is desirable
- Strong internal communications experience in a global organization
- Exceptional stakeholder management
- Strong leadership and consensus-building skills in a dynamic environment
- Excellent networking and relationship building skills
- Strategic thinking and strong influencing skills
- Outcome/results driven, delivering on strategic priorities
