Job Description:
We are seeking a Communications Systems Engineer with a strong background in communication theory and signal processing. The successful candidate will join our Wireless Systems Group in Ely and responsible for the system design for low power wireless products. You will be working with a cross-functional global team in a collaborative environment that we take pride in. You will thrive on complex technical challenges and be personally motivated to provide the best solution to challenging problems.
Responsibilities

Working with RF/Analog, digital and validation teams to bring-up, test and trouble-shoot test-chips and SoC's

Working with the RF/Analog design team to develop module specifications and RF calibrations
-
Working with the digital design team to implement algorithms and digital modules
-
Development of system models for performance evaluation, optimization and to guide design trade-offs
-
Documentation and development of design and test plans
Requirements/Qualifications:
-
BS , MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
-
Strong background in signal processing and communication theory
-
Experience on algorithm design and analysis in Matlab, Python or C
-
Experience on Modem and digital front-end blocks design is a plus.

Wi-Fi or Bluetooth PHY layer understanding is a plus.

A team player; able to identify and resolve technical and schedule issues with team members. Team management skills would be an advantage.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials effectively and produce good quality engineering documentation.
