Lots of hours available over the christmas period!As a Commis Chef you will…Assisting in the food preparation processCooking and preparing elements of high quality dishesPreparing vegetables, meats and fishAssisting other ChefsHelping with deliveries and restockingAssisting with stock rotationCleaning stationsContributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.Running food service on a given morning/eveningAlongside some of these more general skills, all good Commis Chefs should possess:Basic knowledge of all sectionsAbility to work under supervision of a limited rangeAbility to produce good quality basic foodUnderstanding of health and safetyUnderstanding of basic food hygiene practicesGood oral communicationTeam management skillsHigh level of attention to detailGood level of numeracy Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around youAdaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processesAbility to work unsupervised and deliver quality workPositive and approachable mannerTeam player qualitiesWhilst we have a wish list of things we would like, if you don’t meet every single requirement but are passionate and driven to succeed, we would still love to hear from you!About Pinewood HotelPinewood Hotel - an Art Hotel.
