Lady of the Grapes is a natural French wine bar & restaurant located in Covent Garden and promoting female winemakers. It is a distinctive yet relaxed space where guests can drink exquisite natural wines and eat stunning homemade food.
We are looking for a commis chef to join our woman friendly team and evolve within our company.
We are serving French small plates alongside a large selection of cheeses and charcuteries. All our dishes are made from scratch, using seasonal products and best quality ingredients. Our menu is changing constantly. Recipes are created by Eliott Buchet, our executive chef (who have a Michelin restaurant background and is a culinary school teacher), James Lidsey, Head chef and our owner and chef Carole Bryon.

Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards on food quality, presentation and hygiene
- Helping the chefs in the daily preparation, following their instructions
- Follow the recipes, measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
- During service, dealing with cold order: snacks, cheese and charcuterie
- Ensure all food is presented for service in a timely manner.
The role requires:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience (or a culinary school level)
- A good knowledge in French cuisine is a plus
- Passion for food and wine and quality products
- An understanding of HACCP (Level 2 food safety is preferred)
- A great attention to details
- Must be a good team player
- A good English
- To be self-motivated person, with a positive “can do” attitude to all tasks
- Must have the right to work in the UK
