Job description
We’re looking for Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Managing Quantity Surveyors to join our Eastern & West Midlands construction business.
Location: West Midlands, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk
Contract: Permanent, full time. Flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.
Responsibilities
We are looking for all levels of surveyors within the construction industry to support the business’ fantastic pipeline of growth and building some incredible projects that support and develop the local communities. You really will make a difference.
These projects can range from £1m-£90m including both single and two stage tenders. The portfolio of sectors includes education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, frameworks…the list goes on and on! And this could be anything from new builds to extensions, demolition and maybe even refurb too!
Your day to day will likely include:
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery and completion
- You will be working alongside the project delivery team, including both operations and design, to ensure the contractual control, risk management and cost management of projects across different sectors and contracts
- Managing all the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement, and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome
Who are we looking for?
Quantity Surveyors with commercial construction experience within:
- General construction building sector
- Ideally experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 Main Contractors
- Single and/or two stage procurement
- NEC, JCT, P21, P22 or DFE contract experience
