Commercial Product Manager
London
As a Barclays Commercial Product Manager you will support the growth agenda of Private Bank through the delivery of competitive and compliant banking products/propositions. You will be working with product management and distribution colleagues globally to provide commercial insight and identify opportunities for growing/protecting product revenue. You will be measuring/ monitoring product portfolio performance and profitability to build understanding of client behaviours and identify areas for optimisation.

• Taking ownership for monitoring the performance of products, identifying areas of under/over performance and suggesting areas to optimise
- Working with product and coverage teams to monitor industry trends/competitive developments/changes in client need/behaviour to support product change/pricing
- Working on strategic commercial initiatives to optimise product mix, margins etc to deliver commercial objectives
- Building understanding of client behaviour across products to support planning/ pricing/change initiatives – working across global platforms/diverse range of clients
- Creating insightful analysis and presenting to senior stakeholders e.g. at the Banking Commercial Forum
- Effectively using insight and analytics to help shape/embed/validate initiative delivery and providing feedback on the impact/success of pricing strategies
- Working alongside product and cash & liquidity specialist colleagues to optimise existing strategies across the banking product range
- Supporting the wider product management agenda as required e.g. product development, product maintenance, change initiatives, controls etc
• Demonstrated experience in Data Analytics through e.g. SQL, Python etc and a very good knowledge of Excel
- Practical knowledge of data warehouse, MI environments and practices
- Experience in creating innovative analysis to support commercial opportunities and articulating to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience in creating business models, both financial and consumer behavioural
• Experience of product performance management
- Knowledge of banking products, specifically deposit, saving and current accounts
- Industry knowledge, a good understanding of competitor landscape and relevant banking and financial regulatory regime
