Because of exciting new plans in the works for 2023 Homebase are recruiting across multiple teams, including our commercial team! As such we're seeking an experienced Commercial Planner to join us on a permanent basis as soon as possible!
Accountable for driving profitability and operational excellence through the planning and project management of commercial change programs and Trade planning ensuring delivery to targets. Performance enhancement through the identification of opportunities, process developments, and mobilising of teams ensuring delivery.
About the role:
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE) plus bonus
Location: We operate a hybrid working policy which means that (with the exception of your first few weeks when we would like you to be in the office more often, to make sure you've settled in) you will have the option to work from home for up to two days per week. Because in this role, visibility in the office is important we require that you work from the Store Support Centre (in MK) on Tuesday and Wednesday each week, however, we do ask for flexibility as there may rare occasions when these days may change, depending on whether there are any important meetings or team events you may need to attend. Equally, we are happy to offer the same flexibility if there are occasions when you want to swap these days out as well.
Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday (8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm). Flexible working options may be available.
Day to Day Responsibilities (inc but not limited to):
- Plan, project manage and ensure the team are prepared for key Commercial initiatives and signoffs,
including:
o Ownership and curation of omni-channel end to end Trade Plan
o End to end Customer campaigns
o Range changes, trials, brand development
o Sourcing
o Vendor direcet/ consignment partnerships
o Customer/ Stock Fulfillment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong programme management with FMCG / Buying/ Multi-Channel Retail experience
- Understanding of end-to-end retail supply chain, stock, product margin and channel profitability
- A strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the status quo at all levels
- Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required
- A sense of team
