Metro Bank is changing the way Britain banks and we are growing! The Model Validation team are responsible for the validation of models for capital calculations, decision making and risk based pricing models across the whole bank. As the Commercial Model Validation Manager, you will be the expert and lead the team to deliver success!
Depending on the team, most of our roles offer flexible working.
So what would you be doing?...
Supporting the Head of Validation and the team on deliverables and projects focused on validating risk models- Participating in the creation and maintenance of a framework for validation procedures
- Keeping up to date with the latest modelling techniques, regulatory guidelines and converting this knowledge to benefit the bank
- Leading, mentoring and providing guidance to members of your team and stakeholders
- Have full oversight of all projects and finding innovative ways to improve our internal tools and resources

Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders- Knowledge of SAS/SQL is a must ideally with a good understanding of relational databases
- Experience validating and developing commercial credit risk models (e.g. PD, EAD, LGD), IFRS 9 models, AIRB models, pricing and operational models
- Knowledge of programming technique, Credit Risk and Risk Analytics techniques
- Knowledge of credit risk modelling techniques and PRA/EBA regulations
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as the Basel Accords (IRB) and IFRS 9, as well as risk management frameworks such as the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and EBA Regulatory Technical Standard (RTS)
