Pay, benefits and culture

Your dedication will be rewarded with a competitive salary range of £32660 - £35,300dependant on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a 3% company bonus and a flexible cash fund of £1250 allowance per year. *A £3,500 London allowance will be applied if you live within the M25.

Performance incentive schemes of up to £5000 and overtime opportunities can boost earnings even further.

What you’ll be doing?

Working for EDF as a Commercial Metering Operative, you will take on a range of responsibilities:

• Lead the installation of a wide range of metering products, ensuring the highest level of professionalism during interactions with customers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes of practice, statutory legislation and industry regulations including Metering Codes of Practice, Engineering Regulations, ESQ&C regulations 2001 and any further regulations which become appropriate.
• Installation of Automated Meter Reading AMR and Half Hourly HH, Code of Practice cop5/cop3 metering work, Low Voltage LV / whole current WC & Current Transform CT including installation/exchange & commissioning
• Energisation/de-energisation of metered supplies fed from standard cut outs single phase and three phases.
• Single and three phase new connections for legacy and Smart Meter Install SMI (Depending on Accreditation)
• Collaborate effectively with customers to execute project work flawlessly, aligning with industry standards and safe working practices.
• Champion safety, quality, compliance, and the commercial success of your daily activities.
• Take charge of providing field-based coaching and support to new team members, contributing to their growth and development.
• Execute operational responsibilities and actively participate in process improvement initiatives.

Your technical proficiency, coupled with your exceptional communication skills, positions you as a standout contributor in your field.

With your commitment to continuous improvement and mentorship, you're ready to uphold our team's reputation as a leader in the industry.

Technically we need you to be a Qualified Electrician C&G, NVQ CG236 Part 1 -2 or equivalent with EDF Competency ADEGHM.

It would be great if NC, HND or equivalent experience or working towards higher education courses in electrical engineering and experience in Electric Vehicle Charging point installation.
