We have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Smartspace team based in Warrington providing high quality fit-out and refurbishment solutions for our portfolio of clients. The focus of this role is both providing Leadership to the project teams and the commercial delivery of projects on site.

Wates Smartspace provides a range of services to our clients which span sectors including finance, retail, distribution and the public sector.

The main accountabilities will include:

• Provide strong functional leadership, management and governance for all commercial activities, pre and post contract, across either a single large project or a portfolio of projects
• Drive clear costed strategies across projects on operational delivery, customer engagement and commercial management
• Support the Smartspace business objectives regarding work winning/ repeat business and Customer management
• Actively promote and support the development of the Commercial team
• Engage with all internal and external stakeholders, adapting personal style to suit the needs of individuals
• Review of the monthly project cost reports and completing input into the business Board Reports
• Ensuring Smartspace cash management plans are rigorously followed

We are looking for a qualified and competent commercial lead with solid experience working on high quality fit-out and refurbishment projects.

To be successful in the role you will be a confident negotiator and an effective leader with the ability to develop a highly talented and motivated commercial team, as well as build excellent relationships with other business functions, customers, consultants and the supply chain.
