Commercial Manager - Warwick- Salary: up to £50,000 depending on experience

As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wider business and contributing to the success of our electric bus venture. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of dedicated employees, ensuring efficient sales administration processes as well as, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Who you will be working with include but is not limited to:
As Commercial Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop the team. Collaborate with a talented team and contribute to their professional growth. You will also be working with various stakeholders such as;

  • Sales team: Work closely with the sales team to support their efforts, capture market insights, and provide vital sales support.
  • Bodybuilders: Engage and foster relationships with external bodybuilders, shipping lines, export and customs.
  • Aftermarket team: Work alongside the aftermarket team to ensure a seamless customer experience and support post-sales activities.

By working closely with these stakeholders, you will play a vital role in supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and develop the Sales Support Team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with all parties involved, including body builders, shipping lines, and export and customs.
  • Manage production programs to meet customer and bodybuilder objectives while maximising the organisation's goals.
  • Ensure timely collection and allocation of payments according to agreed T&Cs.
  • Collaborate with Business Control to ensure sales procedures and channels comply with group customs and trade practices.
  • Maintain the Customer Management database (CRM) and work with the group to drive system improvements.
  • Support cross-functional tender teams in developing and delivering tender submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal Volvo Policies and Procedures and Volvo Buses Business Manual.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to lead and support a team
  • An understanding of project management
  • Background in Bus, truck or manufacturing industry would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Numeracy skills with knowledge of financial and accounting processes, including credit control and debt collection.
  • Good understanding of business and Strong commercial acumen
  • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Target-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
