Job description
We are looking for a financial services professional to join us here at M&S as a Commercial Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join the M&S Financial Services team as you will be at the forefront of managing and developing our digital credit proposition, a key enabler in our corporate strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Commercial Lead for Credit, you will act as the subject matter lead for Digital Credit. You will have end-to-end ownership including the development of the proposition, ensuring it's aligned to the wider strategy, as well as driving its growth and profitability, always ensuring it meets the needs and expectations of both customers and the business.
Key accountabilities and measures:
Responsible for running the end-to-end product development process. This includes conducting market research, defining product requirements, conducting pricing analysis, creating go to market plans and handling the launch of new products.
Analyse customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement and make recommendations to senior management based on your findings.
Handles the budget process, working with Finance and the business unit to set the annual budget (including quarterly re-forecasting process)
Key skills & experience:
Experience with the Digital Credit & Financial Services sector ideally within Retail FS & Digital credit
3rd Party relationship management and commercial discussions
Experience of product acquisition, portfolio management, marketing and channel management/delivery
Experience in proposition development
Experience in understanding commercial drivers of FS & Credit products along with the regulatory environment & marketplace
