We are looking for someone to join our dynamic and diverse team to provide legal services on commercial contract, innovation and procurement matters. You will be working with our business to help deliver its strategic objectives and the vision of the General Counsel team, and as you are working in a dedicated team, you will benefit from the support of colleagues throughout so that we are able to drive and ensure we create an awesome place to work. This is an opportunity which doesn’t come up often for you, you will lead on our commercial and innovation matters, while also having exposure to our wider portfolio of non-contentious matters.

You will be Legal Counsel within the Severn Trent group legal team reporting into Senior Legal Counsel and business partnering our commercial and innovation teams and providing excellent legal support for their business areas.


In your work with commercial you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, providing strategic advice to help the business secure the best outcomes in its procurement activity.


Our innovation team work on exciting and fast-paced research and development projects, with a focus on the group’s journey towards net zero carbon emissions by 2030. You will be the primary legal contact on these projects, supporting on contracting strategy and negotiation.


You will be constantly reviewing and considering any forthcoming changes in legal and regulatory requirements which could impact on us as a business and you will proactively consider strategic and policy objectives of the company with a view to influencing key internal and external stakeholders.


As a business we ensure our customers are at the heart of all advice and decisions which we make. This is a business leader role with regular engagement with senior stakeholders in our businesses.
