About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced finance professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Commercial Finance Controller position sits within the Foodservice function of the Northern Europe business unit – an exciting growth engine for the business- with ambitious plans for the next 5 years. You will work in a high performing Foodservice leadership team and play a key role in the overall leadership of the function. You will report to the Director of Foodservice- with exposure to senior stakeholders – including the Northern Europe Leadership Team- Sales LT and Category LT. You will have one direct report to assist you and you will lead and develop this individual to continue our journey of financial excellence across the function.

Your primary responsibility will be to partner with the FSLT in the financial delivery of our 1y Annual Operating Plan and 5y Strat Plan. You will be accountable for our forecast - including understanding key drivers & variances to plan and will be responsible for deep-dive assessments of structural and strategic financial concepts. You will be responsible for our pricing strategy and revenue growth management plans- with ownership of our annual operating plan and strategic plan for the Foodservice business.

This role acts as CFO for the Foodservice business – which includes Sales- Marketing- Finance- Supply Chain- Culinary and eCommerce. You will have ownership of the full P&L and be an important conduit with other functions impacting our business- such as Procurement- Operations and R&D. This role interfaces across the Northern Europe BU and the central International Zone foodservice function.


In brief- your responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of all financial analysis within the sales team- marketing team- category teams and FP&A for the Foodservice business: financial modeling- assessing performance- pricing strategy and impact assessment- scenario analysis- variances to forecast- creating and monitoring structured business plan (AOP and Strat Plan).
  • Actively driving improved financial performance of the channel by highlighting improvement opportunities – including all the RGM levers- pack strategy and mix.
  • Partnering with the National Account Managers and Foodservice leadership team (FSLT) to create and validate the sales forecast to highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Partnering with the NAMs and FSLT on commercial opportunities for new business and category expansion – including approvals for customer business plans and negotiations.
  • Driving financial awareness- financial systems- and ownership of all relevant financial metrics within the Foodservice team. Complete ownership for all budgets and relevant cost centres.
  • Leading one direct report to aide in the above responsibilities.
  • Supporting in leading an Operational team which focusses on invoicing- accruals and demand planning.
  • As a member of the FSLT you will also be expected to play a key leadership role to the overall Foodservice function of approximately 30 people.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree
  • Previous experience in a commercial / finance role managing a complex P&L
  • Consistent track record of problem solving as an owner- taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying the complex
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in SAP an additional benefit
