Commercial Finance Analyst - Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG

Salary £24,000 to £30,000 DOE - 4% pension contributions, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores, hybrid working policy, dog friendly office and so much more!

Full Time – 37.5 hours

Our core business working hours are Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm and we are very flexible with starting and finishing times, we also offer hybrid working for 2 days from home.

About the Role

As the Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in providing insight and reporting to the Buying and Supply Chain team, supporting current and future trading decisions. Where appropriate the role will also offer support to key strategic projects. As a member of the wider commercial finance team, you will be expected to drive improvements in the quality, timeliness and insight of reporting.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and gain respect and trust at all levels.
  • Strong excel and modelling skills are a must, the ability to distil large amounts of data into easy-to-use reports which provide great commercial insight.
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives on being fully accountable for their work
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
  • Must be detail and accuracy orientated with strong analytical skills whilst still being able to view the Big Picture.
  • Ability to work well with others and handle pressure and rapidly changing demands in a fast-paced dynamic customer focused environment.
  • Flexible, high energy and passionately committed to the business.
  • Desire to progress with professional accountancy exams – financial and time support offered.


Qualifications/Training

  • Graduate calibre working towards an Accountancy qualification.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in similar role.
  • Retail sector experience a plus, as is empathy with the craft market.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Must be driven by results, commercially successful and experienced in contributing through collaboration with all other functions, with the aim of continuously improving performance.
  • Experience of data analysis tools (Targit) would be beneficial
