A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within Jardine Motors Group for a Legal Advisor to join our busy legal team. You will be providing support to our in-house legal counsel and, where necessary, leading on departmental initiatives and project work.

While this is primarily a remote working role, you will be required to travel once a week to our head office in Colchester.

About the role:
- Review, negotiate and advise on commercial contracts identifying key commercial risks and preparing a legal summary for circulation prior to sign-off.
- Manage the workload in coordination with the Procurement team ensuring that the appropriate input is gained from the relevant departments including Tax and Finance.
- Advise Company on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions.
- Participate in meetings (with internal clients, suppliers and other parties), negotiating, taking notes and preparing summaries.
- Provide legal and administrative support to the Group Legal team, including day to day responsibility for responding to any contract related queries..
About you:
- Experience in reviewing, drafting and amending documents and written communications.
- Knowledge of GDPR
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and be able to complete tasks under pressure.
- Demonstrable attention to detail and high accuracy of work.
- Experience working in a legal environment (ideally in-house and/or in a regulated firm).
