Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting transformation journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of Commercial Business Support Officer Europe.
Based in London, you will provide commercial business support to the region for all matters relating to facilities management, IT, procurement issues and legal administration matters.
You will act as the key liaison between the outstations and the Global Business Service department with the relevant Head Office Departments.
Specific Accountabilities include:
- Responsible for supporting the business with their procurement requirements ensuring activity is managed in line with the outstation procurement policy and spending principles as set out by our Head Office Finance team.
- Take a supporting role to improve adherence to internal policies and procedures by designing checklists and managing projects within Europe.
- Resolve Commercial and Operational admin-related cases with Contracts and legal to ensure an effective outcome for Qatar Airways.
- Responsible for supporting all the administration of office leases and utility contracts across the assigned region, supporting renewals and closures as required.
- Ensure budgets are managed effectively and reported to line manager on a regular basis.
- Responsible for identifying and documenting procurement best practices, and management of systems associated with procurement related activities.
- Looks for improvement of workflow processes related to Head office and outstation, contracts, expenditures, office renovation and makes recommendations to line manager in order to drive efficiency and streamlining of internal processes.
- Indirectly guide the administration team in Europe to providing five star business support to outstation business leaders on all procurement and legal matters, including the management of outstation facilities where required.
- Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures regarding the use, processing, disclosure and security of any information.
- Experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/Business Support/Shared Services role with experience of procurement, IT, legal and facilities matters.
- Background in working closely with management stakeholders and in a commercial function.
- Excellent IT skills - MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task. Excellent organizational ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter and have the ability to work independently.
- Ability to critically challenge policies or processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
