Job description
The Commercial Analysis team is recruiting an analyst to help drive our Food Supply Chain transformation.
You will be working on the end-to-end transformation, from how we order products from suppliers to how we serve our stores, the Supply Chain is the backbone of our food business.
The Team
You will work within the Commercial Analysis team of Food Data Science. This team provides insights using analytical skills and commercial awareness to drive better business decision making across our award-winning food business. The team is also responsible for designing and running trials across the food business to evaluate the effects of commercial transformation.
You will also work with collaborators across Food Supply Chain, including teams responsible for the optimisation of the supply chain, including culture change, and ways-of-working.

What you’ll do
- Deliver clear, practical insights to supply chain colleagues
- Develop domain knowledge and strong working relationships with the supply chain team
- Develop and maintain high levels of statistical and programming skill
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Ability to think critically, with a structured, analytical approach to end-to-end problem solving, combined with excellent attention to detail and a love of nuance
- Ability to distil out key information from collaborators into what is useful and relevant, as well as deliver clear communication of commercial and analytical findings to both team members and to non-specialists
- Dedication to continuous development of professional skills
- Understanding of supply chain theory and practice is preferred
- Practical knowledge of Python and/or SQL preferred - particularly for data manipulation, analysis and visualisation
