Here at Peabody, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst (New Business Team) on a Permanent basis either at our London or North Essex office.
A bit about the role:
This role is a permanent hybrid role and offers flexible weekly hours either full time or part time (minimum 3 days a week).
For a work-life balance that works for you and us, this role is hybrid with a fortnight requirement to work at either our Waterloo or Colchester Office for at least one day of that week. Requests to work no less than 3 days per week will also be considered for this role!
As a Commercial Analyst (New Business Team), you will be working as part of a small team which means pitching in with everything.
You’ll be supporting the Contracts and Business Development Analyst and the wider commercial team by providing a financial, data and reporting resource.
Your main role will be to provide pricing and financial assistance for tenders and new business opportunities, but the role is varied and will involve working on a number of short-term projects.
Our team manage the contracts for our care and support department, so contract performance data will be part of your remit as well as ensuring the contract schedules are kept up to date.
A good working knowledge of Excel at intermediary level, including look up formulas and pivot tables, is essential for this role.
Some of the key results for the Commercial Analyst include:
Providing pricing and financial assistance for tenders and new business opportunities along with reading and interpreting tender documentation, completing in house financial appraisals and completing external pricing and financial documents.
Regular meetings with operational managers to keep the viability of their services and contracts under review. Maintaining up to date financial appraisals which evidence viability or indicate an action plan is required.
Attending meetings and visiting services across the directorate, developing relationships and insight so that solutions and processes are influenced by operational practice.
Producing regular and bespoke reports and analysis of financial data as and when required/requested.
