The Role
Conde Nast Traveller is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable digital travel writer to work on expanding and optimising Conde Nast Traveller’s e-commerce content. This role will involve writing about a varied range of topics, from hotels to Airbnbs, luggage, air travel hacks, fashion, beauty and gifts. Familiarity with key success drivers in affiliate marketing, and previous experience in creating commerce content which has driven meaningful revenue, are both highly desirable.
The Team
This role will sit within the UK digital editorial team, reporting to the commerce editor. The team has a close working relationship with the print team as well as the Traveller teams around the world in the US, EMEA and APAC.
What will you be doing?
Writing engaging and revenue driving content aligned with Traveller’s brand values
Contribute to regular content planning meetings to both provide conversion-informed insight to the work of the team, and pitch ideas to grow and diversity our affiliate revenue
Work with our Audience Growth team to monitor and increase revenue from the existing back catalogue of content on Cntraveller.com. This will be both improving on-page conversion, as well as editing and updating evergreen content to maintain long-term Search rank
Generate ideas for promoting commerce content on social media, video, email newsletters and beyond
Organise and build newsletters
Produce and present reports, analysis and insights on a daily / weekly basis
Work with the wider editorial team to cover important tentpole moments
Represent Conde Nast Traveller within the industry, from attending press events and trips
Who you are:
The successful candidate will be familiar with the travel industry and what makes for quality digital travel content
Previous experience writing for a travel or lifestyle brand/publication
A clear passion and enthusiasm for the Conde Nast Traveller brand
Demonstrable knowledge of consumer affiliate marketing
Demonstrable knowledge of core SEO principles and best practice
Ability to compile and present regular reports, insights and analysis of e-commerce progress, and translate data into meaningful content strategies
Ability to write clean, authentic, engaging copy at speed
Organised, methodical approach to work with a creative and collaborative mindset, and a flair for working with individuals across different departments, globally
Must have previous experience working and uploading into a CMS
Basic-Intermediate Photoshop skills preferable
Where will you be?
We encourage hybrid working but when you are in the office, this role will be primarily based in our iconic Vogue House building, situated in the heart of Mayfair. This is where our award-winning Editorial and Content teams sit.
