Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role:
To provide a professional and pro-active health advisory service to all students and to provide advice and guidance relating to specific student health issues to relevant staff. To promote Health and Wellbeing across the College.
- Part-time & Full Time Position Available (please state in your application your preference for part-time or full-time hours)
- Term-time (40 weeks per annum)

Key Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver a monthly Health Promotion programme, tailored to address known relevant health issues, e.g. sexual health, healthy lifestyles, smoking
- To liaise closely with faculty staff, the Learner Experience and Wellbeing Manager and the Learner Support Co-ordinator in assessing the medical and support needs of students with learning, physical and mental health needs
- To ensure all trips are monitored for medical conditions and trip leaders are aware of any condition and how to support if required
About you:
- Registered Nurse on relevant part of the register
- Experience of working with young people
- Ability to seek and arrive at positive solutions to problems

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to a start date before 1st February).
Salary: £31,498 - £36,642 (Full time equivalent) - Pro Rata Salary: £16,626 - £19,341
