Catch22 College
Catch22 College is the collective name for 10 sites we have across the country, which deliver academic and vocational training programmes for young people aged 16+ who, for whatever reason, are not suited to a mainstream college setting.

The role of Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of systems and processes, at the Bishop Auckland College site. We are looking for an experienced and reliable administrator, who can provide an effective and professional administrative service to the college provision.
About You
- A skilled administrator, with experience of database entry, drafting correspondence, and proofreading.
- Knowledge of finance, invoicing, and administrative systems, and the ability to develop administration and finance procedures.
- A great communicator, with the ability to build and develop excellent internal and external working relationships at all levels.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse environment.
- Experience of working with a school, a college, or other educational settings, including working with vulnerable/challenging young people.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Supporting the team to ensure that all student paperwork is in order, so that correct forms are completed, data and files are stored correctly, and the online student database (PICS) is kept up to date.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the centre, including answering phones (taking accurate messages or referring callers), managing the post systems, ordering and replenishing refreshments and stationary, overseeing attendance monitoring, calling students, writing letters, and inputting data onto online registers.
- Supporting centre managers to recruit new staff members, and supporting and guiding new starters to settle into the team at Catch22, from induction onwards.
- Undertaking finance tasks such as raising purchase orders, requisitions, and goods receipting, completing the learner bursary spreadsheet, and handling related enquiries from suppliers, finance, and accounts payable. Overseeing petty cash systems, and replenishing petty cash in a timely manner.
- Liaising with the Centre’s Awarding body as an Exams Administrator, enrolling students onto relevant courses, and applying for certification on completion.
- Supporting the centre managers, and working alongside the central Health & Safety and Facilities teams, to ensure that the building is in the best possible condition, as safe as possible for students and colleagues, and compliant with all relevant legislation.

- GCSE English and Maths, at Grade C (4)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information
Salary: Pro-rata amount of £13,284.67 (based on £22,000 full time equivalent)
Hours of work: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Term-time only
